Easter Extravaganza – A Cracking Success

The Group would like to thank everyone who attended, helped out and contributed to make the Arrowfield and Hough End Community Action Group EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA a brilliant success.

More than 30 families enjoyed a range of activities and refreshments which took place over lunchtime on Easter Sunday. Highlights included an arts and crafts table, face painting, easter egg hunts, piƱatas … and loads to eat and drink!

Buckthorn House was packed to bursting as upwards of seventy people – from tiny tots to grand parents – who cheered and clapped as a range of prizes were handed out to youngsters for easter egg and easter bonnet decorating competitions and find the golden egg contests for the under and over 10s.

Hello Richard, I’m from a housing background and was very interested to see how your community came together on Easter Sunday. It was great to see community spirit with such a good turnout – a lot of time and effort was put into creating this event – a lot of happy children and their parents really appreciated all your hard work. The face painting was a great success as were the pizzas.

    Hi Richard

Enjoyed the buzz of your community meeting. Great way of bringing families together who would not normally talk to each other and may now feel they have a common bond. Catering superb – Colette and Kath very friendly and cheery. Loved the carrot cake.

What a lovely day it was. Was great to see so many people turn out. The easter card decoration was a great success and the kids just loved it. I was really proud to be part of this group that made this event happen, thanks to Kath and Colette for keeping me going with coffee, cake and pizza. Love the photos on the web page too. Fantastic Richard, thank you very much.
