Easter Sunday saw the Group’s second annual ‘Easter Extravaganza’ take place in Chorlton. Families from all over the area converged on Buckthorn House for lunchtime fun which included craft tables for youngsters to make Easter cards and Easter bonnets, for which prizes were awarded by Councillor Norman Lewis.
There was an outdoor Easter egg hunt, face painting and great excitement and action when the piñatas were brought out.
Easter eggs and prizes were kindly donated by Southway Housing, Manchester Working, Waites and Bramalls. In all, around 60 people attended the event and also tucked in to a range of Easter cakes, goodies and hot and cold drinks – all provided free.
The Committee would like to thank all those who came and to those who helped out on the day to make this year’s event such a success once again. Same time, same place next year for more Easter fun?
